Vice President Leni Robredo is afraid of the truth that her victory for winning the VP seat last May 2016 was a fraud, according the camp of former Senator Ferdinand BBM Marcos on February 19.
BBM camp's spokesperson Atty. Vic Rodriguez said that Robredo's camp is afraid that the truth might behind her winning moment might be revealed.
"We are not surprised. They will appeal the recent PET decision which found former Sen. Bongbong Marcos' election protest to be sufficient in form and substance," Rodriguez remarked.
A resolution dated January 24 stated the PET rejected Robredo's claims that the tribunal could not go ahead with the case for lack of jurisdiction, and that Marcos' poll protest is "insufficient in form and in substance."
The spokesperson further explained that BBM only wants the truth to be unfolded, while Robredo's camp is still looking for ways to delay the proceedings.
"If Robredo has nothing to hide, why resort to all these delaying tactics? It's not enough that her camp cheated their way to the Vice-Presidency. Now, they want to cheat again by depriving Bongbong Marcos of his day in court we want the truth to come out," he said.
Robredo won the VP over Marcos by just a matter of 263,473 votes in the May 2016 election, which BBM claimed was marred by fraud.
